Yes, it's that time of the year again. My dear "young" watchers, let me explain something to you: every year I go through my stats at the same date, to see the evolution of my account. It is purely a mix of math and self congratulation, because, really, isn't it what Christmas really is about?
So let's begin, shall we?
2006:
NEOkeitaro has 7,641 pageviews total and his 147 deviations were viewed 15,646 times. He watches 114 people, while 72 people watch him.
2007:
NEOkeitaro has 15,531 pageviews total and their 222 deviations were viewed 59,951 times. Neokeitaro watches 154 people, while 114 people watch NEOkeitaro.
2008:
NEOkeitaro has 30,671 pageviews total and their 283 deviations were viewed 139,124 times. Neokeitaro watches 234 people, while 223 people watch NEOkeitaro.
2009
NEOkeitaro has 50,857 pageviews total and their 318 deviations were viewed 374,326 times. Neokeitaro watches 300 people, while 366 people watch NEOkeitaro.
50,857-30,671=20,186 pageviews this year. (15,140 last year) While this is a better score than last year, my acceleration rate is lowering: I managed to double my pageviews for 2 years, I failed this year. It will become more difficult with the time, of course...
318-23=35 deviations uploaded this year (2,9 a month) (61 last year) My artistic inactivity is quite noticeable... But I realized this year that a good artist is not someone who always produces great work, but that only show his masterpieces. Not that I did that this year. I just didn't produce much But as years go by I'm more and more ashamed of what I produced, and I mostly write this weeks, and I won't upload that...
374,326-139,124=235,202 views this year (19,600 a month) (79,173 last year) That's like 3 times what I did last year... I actually didn't realize this at all. That's kind of cool, considering my constant absence
I watched 66 people this year (80 last year) and 143 watched me (42 last year, 340% increase). For the first time, more people are watching me than I'm watching them. And hell, I watch a lot of people! (Less than some of you, of course... but still.)
2006:
Overall, his deviations received 2,230 comments and were added to deviants' favourites 340 times, while he commented 4,822 times.
2007:
Overall, their deviations received 3,433 comments and were added to deviants' favourites 1,163 times, while NEOkeitaro commented 6,740 times.
2008:
Overall, their deviations received 4,778 comments and were added to deviants' favourites 3,115 times, while NEOkeitaro commented 9,287 times, making about 6.39 comments per day since NEOkeitaro joined DA.
2009
Overall, their deviations received 5,476 comments and were added to deviants' favourites 4,710 times, while NEOkeitaro commented 10,698 times, making about 6.18 comments per day since NEOkeitaro joined DA.
5,476-4,778=698 comments received this year (1,9 a day) (1,345 last year) Of course, with the decreasing amount of new deviations... Upload twice as less, get twice as less comments.
4,710-3,115=1,595 favourites received this year (132 a month, 4 a day) (1,952 last year) This decrease is particularly amazing if you consider the increase of watchers. I was used to new watchers not commenting, but not even faving? I'm pretty sure this is thanks to my awesome journals...
10,698-9,287=1,411 comments made this year (4 a day) (2,547 last year) Here is where my absence is noticed the most. I don't spend much time on deviantART, therefore the comments suffer immediately. However my comments are generally longer, as I always provide my thought-through insight and advices, generally. I tried critiquing a bit, too. I'm still giving more comments than I receive, though!
Also:
2009
Their deviation with the most comments is The French with 218 comments, while their most favourited one is 3R Stock Steampunk Instruments, with 719 favourites. Their most viewed deviation is Wallpaper - Pink Winter with 31,128 views.
Notice how it's three different deviations? I love that

NEW WEBSITE !
NEW PORTFOLIO WEBSITE!
Funny how things go in sync sometimes... As deviantART is slowly turning into a drawing community (with a new design!), and as I am more and more leaning toward professional work, I felt the need to create a new website for myself... So I present to you, adrienlefalher.com !
The new website is supposed to look very clean, and focus heavily on images: not a lot of text, few pictures but each of them were cherry picked... A lot of them, also, are NOT on deviantART yet! I strongly encourage you to check them out on the website :)
You'll also find a blog, where I'll see be posting tutorials on how I created some of my pi

JULIE
Hello ! Fancy seeing you here!
I don't talk much about it here, but I've been studying cinema for three years now. Actually, some of my oldest followers may remember the "SOME ORDINARY PEOPLE" series I've done a few years back! My studies are now done, and after a good number of projects (including a feature length movie, starring Roger Moore, where I was camera operator and colorist!), I'm finally on the verge of directing a movie very dear to my heart. I present to you: Julie.
Julie is about a transgender woman, who after years of living as a boy, finally decides to live

You can see I've been busy this year because it's the first time since I've started this yearly review that I'm doing it late... Almost one month late.
I'm actually too busy being happy and working and happily working to take care of my online presence that much, even though deviantaART is actually still one of my homepages.
This year I've been working on a romantic comedy featuring Roger Moore (yes, that Roger Moore), called Incompatible, and I'm now preparing my next movie, Julie, about the journey of a transgender girl. Stay tuned, it's gonna be awesome!

Trying out the new journal, bare with me...
Exploring the prints offering from DeviantART
It's been a while I've been meaning to write this journal...
A few months ago, I realized I had earned enough money by selling my prints on deviantART to actually buy some! (Thank you all, by the way) But then I realized I never saw what my deviations actually render as prints. As someone who is spending a lot of time and money to make the most high quality pictures I can, it made me quite uneasy to sell prints that not only I don't have any control on, but that I've never even seen. So, I decided to use the money I earned to actually buy my OWN print
